Little Interactive Math Stories for Year 1 British Curriculum

Categories OMG How Are They Going To Learn Everything?0 Comments

These are a group of interactive math stories that run as a PowerPoint show.  They do not work on mobile devices, only on computers/laptops.  Just click on the link in parentheses to download.  I only just started doing this to help my child review concepts from school, so the first few weeks of the year are currently missing.  Hopefully I will find time to do those as well.  Be aware, I am an American math teacher, so some vocabulary (and the accent) will differ.  LOL

Week 9:  Subtract from 10, 20, and 30 (lims-subtract-from-10-20-30)

Week 10:  Shapes (lims-shapes)

Week 11:  Compare and partition numbers (lims-compare-and-partition)

Week 12:  Addition and the commutative property (coming soon!)

Jennifer Jasensky is a Dubai resident, United States transplant, former mathematics teacher and dancer/choreographer. She is an outgoing homebody and perpetual idealist whose love of learning knows no bounds. She is most happy enjoying a good book with a plate of kaya toast, runny eggs, and kopi-c peng siew dai, but now that she has moved from
Singapore to Dubai, drinking an iced latte in the ocean is fast becoming her happy place.
